Charging a Poppy:
Charging a Poppy is free. No charges for the charging session, and time spent charging at a fast charger is not billed.
💡 If you extend a car's autonomy beyond 80%, you'll earn credits as a reward. These credits can be used for your next ride.
1. How to charge:
- Find a charging station on the map and select it.
- Park at the station and choose the connector.
- If the station doesn't provide a charging cable, pull the cable from the car's trunk.
- Plug the cable into the charging station and confirm on the app. Your charging session will start.
2. How to leave after starting your charging session:
- End your trip within the zone on a slow charger.
- Pause your trip if charging from a fast charger; no charges for charging time.
3. How to Unplug:
- Unlock the vehicle.
- Disconnect the cable from the car.
🔌 Problems releasing the cable?
If the cable does not release, avoid using force. Try unlocking the car once more using the central lock button on the driver's door or dashboard. Remember to return the cable to the trunk if you used the one provided with the car.
If you charge at a station that is not one of our partners:
- In Belgium: We encourage everyone to recharge at one of our partner stations in Belgium. Therefore, we will not provide a refund for recharging at a non-partnered station in Belgium.
- Outside of Belgium: You can initially cover the cost and then e-mail the receipt to us at 'hello@poppy.be'. We will ensure a full refund.
⚠️ Important Information:
- The app automatically confirms when refueling is complete. You can continue your trip, reward credits will be added to your Poppy account, these will automatically be used to pay for your next trip.
- If the fuel level or electric charge drops below thirty-five (35) kilometers of driving range, it's important for you to refuel or recharge the vehicle. If you end your rental with less than thirty-five (35) kilometers of driving range remaining, you'll be responsible for covering all the costs (including any repair costs) associated with towing, refueling, or recharging the vehicle.
