Being involved in an accident can be stressful, but when it happens with a Poppy vehicle, following these steps will help ensure everything is handled smoothly and efficiently:

Immediate Action:
Your safety is paramount. If the accident is serious, first call the European emergency number 112 for immediate assistance. Stay at the scene of the incident until advised otherwise by Poppy or by the police.

Safety Measures:
If possible, move the vehicle to a safe location away from traffic. Then, set up the warning triangle to alert oncoming vehicles.

Documentation:
If you are physically able to do so, document the accident scene thoroughly. Take clear photographs of the damage and the surrounding area. Also, fill out the European Accident Statement form with all relevant details of the incident.

Report to Poppy:
Please report any damage via the app (Report Issue > Vehicle Damages) and contact Poppy as soon as possible by calling our call center. This allows us to start the support process immediately.

Roadside Assistance:
If the Poppy vehicle cannot be driven and needs towing, or you require roadside assistance, inform our call center about this.

Follow-up:
Within 48 hours of the accident, email a copy of the completed accident form and any photographs to 'hello@poppy.be'. This documentation is essential for the processing of your case.
